We were able to find a new date for this program! On Sunday, March 24th join us at Port Louisa National Wildlife Refuge Headquarters for a presentation about Iowa’s land transformation and meet Connie Mutel, a local author and plant ecologist from Iowa City. She has written or edited over a dozen books on environmental subjects. During her presentation she will tell the ongoing ecological story of Iowa’s agricultural land transformation and what it has meant for Iowans and for the state’s native plants and animals. By understanding our past, we can better attend to the loss of biodiversity, climate change, and other modern environmental challenges and costs. This program is free and all ages are welcome to attend. However, subject matter will be geared more towards an adult audience.
